Darlene is a retired Registered Nurse who devoted over 3 decades to a rewarding experience from direct patient care, nursing administration, quality improvement, risk manager and hospital administer.

She is an active member on the following boards; National Life Point Health Patient and Family Advisory Board, Mental Health Association of Fauquier County, Health Equity and Equality for Fauquier County, Fauquier County and Vicinity Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Fellowship. She is the president of Fauquier Community Enrichment Alliance, Inc.

She is a known speaker and presenter for seminars, workshops and is noted as a moderator and leader for health equity and equality.  Mrs. Kelly’s professional and community involvement has allowed her to continue her passion for helping others.

In September 2019, Mrs. Kelly was installed as the 25th President of the Northern Virginia Fellowship & Vicinity; she remains excited and honored to serve with a vision to support, grow and serve.

She is married to the Reverend Dr. James R. Kelly, Pastor of Silver Hill Baptist Church. She supports her husband and serves in any capacity as needed. They reside in Culpeper, Virginia and together they are the parents of five wonderful children and nine awesome grandchildren.

President Kelly believes as she walks with God, He will lead her in the purpose that He has for her life; therefore it is most fitting that her theme as the Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Fellowship of Northern Virginia and Vicinity is:  “WOMEN WALKING WITH GOD”  That Ye Might Walk Worthy Of The Lord Unto All Pleasing, Being Fruitful In Every Good Work, And Increasing In The Knowledge Of God; Colossians 1:10 (KJV)
